General info

The Spar Lake Campground is located on Spar Lake in the Kootenai National Forest.  There are 13 campsites.  Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites have great views of the lake and offer solitude.  Vault toilets and potable water available.  There is a boat ramp for small boats.  Popular for fishing silver salmon, Mackinaw, and eastern brook trout.  Trailheads nearby.  Boating and swimming enjoyed on the lake as well.  $8/night fee.  Maximum stay 14 days.  Open all year round.  Managed mid-May through mid-September.  Maximum trailer length is 24 feet.


From Troy follow Hwy 2 east for approximately 2.5 miles to Lake Creek road 384 and follow for 17 miles to the entrance to the campground. Laundry, Gas, ice, and store are located in Troy.
