Traditional East Asian medicine has been part of A.I. Lieber’s life beginning since childhood when he began the studies of Aikido and later medicine with Dr. M. Nakazono and son, Dr. K. Nakazono at the Kototama Institute. A.I. Lieber is a Diplomate of Acupuncture with the NCCAOM and received his Doctor of Oriental Medicine from the state of New Mexico in 1984. Japanese acupuncture differs from Chinese acupuncture in that the needles are finer and more shallowly inserted. No herbs are prescribed and acupressure is included in the treatment which is based on the Kototama principle, stressing harmony with the force of nature and life, in a specific way. This is a powerful and gentle healing modality. It is extremely effective and non invasive. A.I. Lieber is recognized worldwide for his expertise.
