Belton Chalet Lodge & Restaurant

When Glacier Park entered the National Park System, the Great Northern Railroad built Belton Chalet Lodge as the first of its spectacular Swiss-style hotels. The chalet welcomed discriminating railroad travelers destined for the park’s lake and mountain recreation. Today, time at the Belton Chalet has stood still just a bit. Included in the thirty period guest rooms is a honeymoon suite complete with an oversized claw foot tub. You won’t find a television, or a telephone for that matter, in the original Arts and Crafts rooms, but you will find all the friendliness and charm of a place that still thinks it’s 1910. After a day of play, relax on the Glacier view decks, order a cold microbrew, and decide if you want a Montana sized sandwich or an elegant dinner in the dining room.
