The Culbertson museum is filled with unique items which take you back to the turn of the century. The nine rooms include: a chapel which contains a traveling alter; a school room from the 20s and 30s; a barber shop with a portable barber chair; and an examining chair-table from one of the first physicians in the area. A general store is stocked with original items, including a collection of old calendars. In the farm and ranch section you will find a side saddle that dates back to 1886 along with a pair of angora chaps. You’ll find mannequins dressed in period clothing and original photos from the early years of the area. Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily in May and September. Open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from June through August. Admission is free.
