| Coffee Creek, named after the nearby, coffee-brown colored creek, began as a station on the Milwaukee Road. In early days, the town was a favorite stopping place for cowboys roaming the surrounding vast ranges, and by 1914, the community was large enough for a post office to open. Today, the community is no longer known for its open ranges, but instead for its prosperous grain fields. | |||||||||||||||||
