| This town didn’t get its name the way you might think. Although not all agree, the most widely accepted story is that a roadhouse on the trail through here in the early days was named Pair o’ Dice. The name was modified from that. Paradise was a division point on the Northern Pacific Railroad, and the spot where the trainmen changed their watches from Mountain time to Pacific before heading over the mountains into Idaho. | |||||||||||||||||
