Boyes

Arthur Boyce, an England native, moved to Montana in the early 1900’s and began homesteading. As more homesteaders arrived, John E. Johnston established a community post office in 1906 and subsequently named the town. Boyce, discouraged with his dim homesteading ability, began carrying mail for the community. However, Boyce soon abandoned this profession, returning to England where he remained until his death. Today, the community houses a small general store, gas station, and post office.
