Location: North of Zortman The most easterly of all Montana gold producing areas. This area was rich with gold for a few years, but its ghosts are some of liveliest stories about the likes of Pike Landusky, Kid Curry, and his brothers. The mine stayed busy until 1935, and finally closed in 1942 when the U.S. Government order L.28 forced all gold mines to close. |
