Location: Hwy 19, Little Rockies area At one time, the mine was one of the largest producing gold mines in the nation. It is in the scenic Little Rocky Mountains and is a national historic site. Once embroiled in controversy in the late 1980s, the mine is now closed, and land reclamation efforts are being made. |
