Joey’s Only Seafood began in 1985 when Joey Klassen opened his first seafood restaurant in Calgary. After the 1988 Calgary Olympics, athletes and fans from around the world traveled home with a taste and craving for the best fish and chips they ever had, Joey’s Famous Fish. A fanatic fisherman and master chef, Joey perfected fish made fresh, charbroiled, sautéed to perfection or briskly cooked with a combination of just the right seasonings and a light and crisp batter. To this day, Joey roams the seven seas, toiling incognito in ship’s galleys in the middle of the ocean, dedicated to serving great fish. Open Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and Sundays from noon until 7 p.m.
