Another town named for another railroad official, Haugan is the first town you arrive at when entering Montana on I-90 or the last town you see leaving. It is now more a traveler’s oasis than a town. Center of the services is the 10,000 Silver $ Saloon. And, yes, there really are 10,000 silver dollars in the bar. In fact, there are more than 33,000 silver dollars in the bar. This should be your first stop in the state, or last stop leaving.
