| Horseback riding fun! Located in northwestern Montana in the Rocky Mountain Province, lies the Flathead National Forest. All of the major landforms are structurally controlled with most of the mountain ranges being formed by block faults. Glaciation from the last ice age influenced the shape of the land as well as the composition of the soil.
From Kalispell, US Highway 93 north and State highway 83 south provide primary access to the forest. 758-5200. |
