The major visual art museum in northwest Montana is located in Kalispell’s Carnegie Library building minutes from Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, and other area attractions. Exhibits feature the historic and contemporary art of Montana. The permanent collection includes Ace Powell, Russell Chatham, Gary Schildt and Robert Scriver. The Hockaday is found two blocks east of Main on the corner of Second Ave. East at Third Street. The museum is open year round Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. A small admission is charged.
