At 500 feet deep, Tally Lake is reputed to be the deepest natural lake in Montana. It is an excellent place to view birds, particularly raptors and waterfowl. There is a day-use fee charged here. To reach the park take Hwy. 93 north from the junction of Hwy. 2 to Reserve St. Go west for 4 miles to Farm-to-Market Road. Turn north and drive approximately 8 miles to Star Meadow Road FR 913. 10 miles to the campground.
