| The springs are located on a privately owned resort that is open year round. The bathhouse offers six private soaking rooms complete with bathroom and sauna with an hourly charge. The water is maintained at 104 degrees F in the soaking rooms and can be adjusted by the bathers preference. The springs were discovered around 1912 when Molly Bartlett decided to drill her own well and the hot water burst from the earth. She continued to share her good fortune of water with guests for bathing and later as "Camp Aqua" for children suffering from polio. A public resort was built is the 1980s, retaining the name of "Camp Aqua", and changed to Wild Horse Hot Springs in the 1990. | ||||||||
