This is one of the more unusual waterfalls you will ever see. The Boulder River literally drops into a hole and exits out of the face of a 100 foot cliff. If you catch it at the right time during spring runoff (usually early to mid-June) the river rises above the hole and cascades over the bridge to the gorge below. The appearance is that of a mini-Niagara. The river and canyon below the falls is equally spectacular. The viewpoints for the falls are wheelchair accessible and much of the walk to and around the falls is paved. A parking area and points along the trail have interpretive signs explaining the geology of the falls.
