Elkhorn Hot Springs

The pools are open year round with admission charged to soak in the pools at the rustic privately owned resort. There is also a dark and steamy “Grecian wet Sauna”, where temperatures average 105 degrees F. The pool temperature averages 95 degrees F. Elkhorn Hot Springs was originally owned by the federal government as part of the Beaverhead National Forest until 1905, when Samuel Engelsjard filed water rights on the springs. Through a number of owners and hard times the springs has survived and with many improvements still retains rustic charm.
