At 6,400ft elevation sits the Porcupine Cabin. This three room cabin sleeps, eight people. There is a table and chairs and a wood burning stove for heat. The cabin sits at the foothills of the Crazy Mountains. No bedding provided. No water. Vaulted toilet outside. $45/night fee. Winter road access 2 miles can be by snowmobile, cross-country skis, and snowshoes. Summer access with high clearance vehicles.
At the north end of Wilsall turn east off Highway 89 onto the Shields River Road, continue north about 8 miles to the Porcupine Road. Turn east and proceed 8 miles to Porcupine cabin.
