This cabin is located along Skalkaho Highway near the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. The cabin was used as a guard station and then later was part of an old Boy Scout camp. Drinking water available from outdoor handpump. $20/night fee. Open season January.
There is no electricity.
There is no cell phone coverage in the area.
There is a Mandatory Food Storage order in effect annually March 1 to December 1.
There is no garbage service at this site so please pack out what you pack in.
From Philipsburg, drive 6 miles to the junction of Montana Highway 38, the Skalkaho Highway. Drive west on the highway 14 miles. The road to the cabin is on the left. During the winter renters may have to hike 200 yards to cabin from parking area.
