This 10 site campground at 5,900ft elevation is located along the Madison River. The view of the river can be seen from every campsite. Open all year long, services are available from late May through late October-weather dependent. “Food Storage Order” must be practiced in this bear country. Bear-resistant containers are provided. Vault toilets and 4 hand pump water spigots are on the campground. No hiking, however fishing for Rainbow Trout in the Madison River can be enjoyed. $15/day fee and maximum stay 16 days.
DIRECTIONS: From Ennis, MT, take US Rt. 287 south 33.2 miles to camp trailer symbol sign. Bear right after sign and go 0.1 miles to the single lane Hutchinson bridge. Continue across the bridge to a "Y" intersection. Bear left onto dirt road and go 0.7 miles to campground.
