General info

This 2 section pack in pack out campground is located 19.8 miles from the Yellowstone National Park entrance.  It is located in the beautiful Yankee Jim Canyon.  There are 15 sites with tables and a fire ring.  Each site is tucked within boulders and gives you privacy from the other campers. Very unique campground. Open all year.  Vault toilets are available, but no water. There is food storage containers since this is bear country.  The historic town of Gardiner is close to where you will find shops, restaurants, and bars.  Rafting the Yellowstone River is possible with outfitters in Gardiner.   Brown, Rainbow, Cutthroat Trout, and Whitefish are caught in the Yellowstone River.  $7/day with a maximum stay of 14 days.

DIRECTIONS:

From Gardiner, MT take US Rt 89 north 12.9 miles to campground on right.
