This campground is right on US Rt 191 between Big Sky and Bozeman. Sites are situated on the Gallatin River. The traffic can be quite noisy. There are 14 sites each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is one pull through with no hookups. This is bear country, so safe food storage should be practiced. Vault toilets and 2 water spigots, one threaded, are available. Fishing, rafting, hiking, restaurants, and summer activities close by. The West Entrance to Yellowstone National Park is 59 miles south. Watching rafters go by is quite entertaining. Rainbow, Brown, Brook and Cutthroat Trout along with Whitefish can be caught in the Gallatin River. Open seasonal May 15 through September 27. $15/day with a maximum stay of 16 days.
DIRECTIONS: In Big Sky, MT, at the intersection of State Rt. 64 and US Rt. 191, take Rt. 191 north 10.3 miles to campground sign. Turn either left or right into the campground.
