This campground is 11 miles west of Yellowstone National Park. It’s located on the South Fork of Hebgen Reservoir. Canoe and kayaking are popular on this lake along with fishing for German Brown, Rainbow Trout, and Utah Chubs. Pelicans are frequently seen on the lake. There are 26 sites, four with electrical hookups, each with a table and fire ring. Vault toilets and 4 threaded water spigots available. This is bear country, safe food storage should be practice. There are bear-resistant containers available. Hebgen Lake Reservoir is a 13,000-acre Reservoir. Open seasonal May 21 through Sept 27. $16/day, $7/day added for a hookup. Maximum stay is 16 days.
DIRECTIONS: In West Yellowstone, MT, at the intersection of US Routes 191 and 20, take Rt. 20 west 7.2 miles to a campground sign. Turn right after sign and go 3.5 miles to campground.
