- General info
If you haven’t gotten your fill of wildlife viewing just driving around the state, visit this 70-acre zoo situated along Canyon Creek. Zoo Montana is the only zoo in Montana that features animals that reside in a natural habitat wildlife park. They specialize in animals that can survive the climate in Montana. They also have a botanical garden. The zoo is still in the early stages of development, but definitely worth the trip. Kids and adults will enjoy the Siberian tigers, otters, children’s zoo, and sensory garden. The zoo also has a farm animal petting area and a discovery center with hands-on exhibits that kids love, a one-mile nature loop, and a wetlands area. Open all year at 10 a.m. daily. Closed on major holidays. Take I-90 exit 446 to King Avenue West. Follow King Avenue West to Shiloh Road. Follow Shiloh Road south approximately 1 1/2 miles to the zoo.
