At the base of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area at 6,350 elevation, this is a single loop 12 site campground. Pack in pack out. Authors have described this area as a Switzerland Bavarian scenery. Campsites are suited for hiking campers as well as equestrian campers. Most sites are in Aspen groves. No tables or fire rings available. Food storage is required and boxes are provided in this bear country.

DIRECTIONS: From Ennis, MT, take US Rt. 287 south 10.7 miles to Forest Rt. 327 (in Cameron, MT). Turn left onto Rt. 327 (Bear Creek Loop) and go 6.5 miles to Bear Creek sign. Turn left at sign and go 2.3 miles to "camping" sign. Turn right into campground.
