.9 miles along Squaw Creek are 18 campsites each with a table and fire ring. The view of Spire Rock is fantastic. The sites are private. This is bear country, safe food storage should be practiced. Vault toilets are available but no water. Open seasonal May 21 through September 15. Rainbow, Brown, Brook and Cutthroat trout along with Whitefish can be caught in the creek. $11/day with a maximum 16-day stay.
DIRECTIONS: In Big Sky, MT, at the intersection of State Rt. 64 and US Rt. 191, take Rt 191 north 16.9 miles to Squaw Creek/Spire Rock campground sign (Squaw Creek Rd./Forest Rt. 132). Turn right onto Squaw Creek Rd. and cross cement bridge. After the bridge, turn right onto a single lane, rough dirt road and go 2.7 miles to campground on right.
