At 7,500ft elevation lies this beautiful and peaceful 9 site campground.  It is a quick walk to the breathtaking picturesque Fairy Lake where picnicking, fishing, and swimming are enjoyed. Hike the 1.2-mile easy trail around the lake or hike up to Sacajawea Peak a 5.5 mile 2000 ft elevation gain to see the gorgeous views of the Hyalite and Bridger mountain ranges. Occasionally Mountain Goats can be seen around the lake or up on the cliffs.  Tables and fire rings at each site.  No reservations for this campground. Vault toilets and water are available.  Pack in pack out.  7 mile drive up is off-road jeep trail not for RV or trailers.  No fee, no reservations, 16-day maximum stay.  Open July 15- Sept 15

Directions: Fairy Lake is located 22.5 miles North of Bozeman on MT 86, 5 miles West on Fairy Lake Rd (steep gravel) Road can be slippery when wet - not suitable for RV or towed unit travel.
