The Hogback Homestead, a fully furnished two-story log cabin, is situated on approximately five acres along Hogback Creek. It has three bedrooms, kitchen, living room, and dining room. It is heated with a wood stove and is equipped with propane lights and a cookstove. This homestead, built in 1917 as a permanent home, provides renters an opportunity to experience the setting and lifestyle of the early 1900s. The Hogback Homestead is available to rent from the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS). Visit the NRRS website at www.recreation.gov to reserve dates or call 1-877-444-6777. Hand-operated water pump, vaulted toilet available.
$75/night fee.
General Notes: Two stories, three bedrooms, propane cooking range, propane lighting, wood stove (heat), and furnished. Bring your own bedding/linens. The first floor is wheelchair accessible. Fire ring available.
Directions: From Interstate 90 take the Rock Creek Road (exit #126) south for 29 miles OR follow Scenic Highway 1 south to Philipsburg. 1 mile before Philipsburg, turn right (west) onto State Road #348. Travel 13 miles, cross Rock Creek, and turn right (north) onto Rock Creek Road #102. Travel 10 miles
