General info

10 campsites sit at 6,400ft elevation along the Pioneer Mountains National Scenic Byway.  Crystal Park where you can dig for crystals, Cloolidge Ghost Town where the Elkhorn Mine was and Elkhorn Hot Springs are nearby.  Open all year long.  Services available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day - weather dependent. Fishing for Brook, Cutthroat, and Rainbow Trout or Hiking the Boulder Creek Trail are ways to enjoy this picturesque area on the Wise River.  Horse and motorbikes allowed on the trail.  One water spigot by hand pump and vault toilets available. $8/day fee. Maximum stay 14 days.

DIRECTIONS: In Wise River, MT, take Forest Rt. 73 (Pioneer Mountains ScenicByway) south 12.4 miles to campground sign.  Turn right at sign into campground.
