This pack in pack out 10 site campground is located at 4,600ft elevation. It is across from Rock Creek and has views of the Squaw Rock formation. Nested in heavy pine woods with the sound of Rock Creek rushing alongside the sites. Each site has a table and fire ring. Open seasonal April through November- Depending on snow. There are 2 pull throughs with no hookups. Vault toilets and 1 hand pump water spigot available. Rock Creek has been rated as a Blue Ribbon Trout stream. No charge for these sites. Maximum stay is 14 days.
DIRECTIONS: From Philipsburg, MT, take State Rt. 1 north 0.3 miles to State Rt. 348. Turn left onto Rt. 348 and go 14.1 miles to the end of the paved roadway. Turn right onto the dirt road (Forest Rt. 102) and go 4.8 miles to Stony Creek campground sign (Stony Creek Rd./Forest Rt. 241). Turn left onto Stony Creek Rd. and go 0.1 miles to campground.
