Near Crystal Lake is this pack in pack out campground. There are 28 sites each with a table and fire ring. There are hiking trails from the campground that take you around the picturesque lake. None of the campsites have a lake view. Boating and fishing for stocked Rainbow Trout are popular. Many trailheads are nearby, some wheelchair accesable, some horse friendly. Vault toilest and 3 water spigots availble. Crystal Lake is a 100 acres, shallow and muddy. Electric motor power boats only Popular for canoe and kayaks. Ipen Seasonal June 15 through Labor Day. $10/day fee with a maximum 14 day stay.
DIRECTIONS: In Lewistown, MT, at the intersection of US Rts 191/87 and State Rt. 200, take US Rts. 191/87 south 9.8 miles to Forest Access sign (Crystal Lake Rd.). Turn left onto Crystal Lake Rd. (gravel) and go 5.1 miles to an intersection. Turn left (staying on Crystal Lake Rd.) and go 3.8 miles to another intersection. Turn left, continuing on Crystal Lake Rd., and go 12.5 miles to campground.
