General info

This campground is adjacent to the 23,750 a-acre Hungry Horse Reservoir. Hungry Horse Reservoir is 15 miles south of the west enterance of Glacier National Park on the South Fork of the Flathead River.  It is 34 miles long and covers 23,800 acres in the Rocky Mountains. Fishing for Whitefish, Bull Trout,and  Cuthroat is popular.  Activites enjoyed are scenic drives, boating, camping, hiking, wildlife viewing, picnicking, and hunting.  Tours of Hungry Horse dam are available. Picturesque views of the mountain ranges.  There are 20 sites each with a table and fire ring. Open seasonal Memorial day through September 30.  $14/day fee with a 14-day maximum stay. 

DIRECTIONS: In Hungry Horse, MT off US Rt. 2 at the Hungry Horse Dam West Reservoir Rd sign, turn onto West Reservoir Rd and go 9.8 miles to campground sign.  Turn left at sign into the campground.
