Doris Creek Campground has 9 sites for tents or RV camping. No hookups. Some sites have a spectacular view of the lake and Mountain Ranges. Quiet, peaceful, and privacy between sites. Each site has a table and fire ring. There are Vaulted Toilets and food lockers for food storage. This is grizzly bear country. Activities include; fishing, hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, and swimming. 50 mile drive around the reservoir is breathtaking. The campground is 14 miles southwest of the West Glacier entrance of Glacier National Park. Open may 15- September 29 $14/night.
Directions: Turn off U.S. Highway 2 at milepost 144 and follow the West Side Hungry Horse Reservoir (Forest Road #895) across the Hungry Horse Dam. The campground is 3 miles south of the Dam. The road is paved to the campground.
