Nestled within Hemlock trees and the old-growth Cedar in the most popular area of Glacier National Park sits the 87 site Avalanche Creek campground.  Each site has a table and fire ring.  Flushable toilets and water are available.  Nearby popular hikes are the Trail of the Cedars and Avalanche Lake.  Beautiful views, wildlife viewing, and the Avalanche Lake is breathtaking and so worth the short hike. Nearby horseback riding reservation, boating, and swimming on Lake McDonald. Open June 22 through September 8 . $20/night fee.

Directions: Avalanche Creek Campground is located 15.7 miles on the Going-To-The-Sun-Road from the West Entrance.
