General info

This is a pack in pack out campground with 10 sites in the canyon’s mouth near the West Boulder River.  There is a horse loading area with hitching rails.  Each campsite has a table and fire ring.  Vault toilets and 2 water spigots are available.  Brook, Cutthroat, Brown, and Rainbow Trout along with Mountain Whitefish can be caught in the Boulder River. Hikes Great Falls CreekTrail and Mill Creek Pass are close by.  Open seasonal Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.  $5/day with a maximum stay of 16 days.

DIRECTIONS: From Big Timber, MT, take State Rt. 298 south 16 miles to West Boulder Rd. sign.  Turn right at sign and go 7.4 miles to West Boulder campground sign.  Turn left at the sign and go 6.1 miles to the campground.
