The outstanding features of this recreation area are the tall ponderosa pine trees. This unique campground on the Fork Peck Lake offers a wilderness experience with the conveniences of a shelter building, fire grill, potable water, toilets, boat ramp, and access to untamed beaches. The Pines is a primitive campsite located on the Fort Peck Lake. Each site has a table and fire ring. Vault toilets. Boat ramp nearby for boating and fishing. A fish cleaning station is available. Open all year round.
Directions: Access The Pines Campground is northwest of Fort Peck approximately 4 miles on Highway 24 from the west entrance of Fort Peck Lake near the Gateway Inn. Turn west on Maxness Road and travel approximately 3.5 miles until this road meets up with the Willow Creek Road. Travel the Willow Creek Road for 12 miles. Turn left or southeast on Country Road with The Pines sign for another 12 miles.
