Meyers Creek Cabin is located in the western part of the Beartooth Ranger District. Meyers Creek Cabin is a historic ranger station that has been used by the Forest Service since 1906. From that time until the mid-1960s the cabin was the headquarters for the Stillwater District. The cabin continues to be used today by the Forest Service, though it is available for rent each summer in the months of May, June, and July.
The cabin is accessible by vehicle, but a 4-wheel drive is recommended during wet weather. There are many options for hiking in the area, including the Meyers Creek Trail (#27), which begins near the cabin. The main Stillwater River Trail(#24) is 16 miles south of Meyers Creek. The Meyers Creek area offers recreation for hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, and fishermen. Groceries, gasoline, and camping supplies are available 8 miles east in Nye, MT.
There are two corrals, a watering tank, and hitching rails for horses. Hay or feed that is brought in must be certified weed-free. Bears frequent this area; all food must be kept in approved containers or within the cabin. $90/night Open May 1- July 31
