At 4,500ft elevation sits 6 campsites adjacent to the Skalkaho Creek in the Bitterroot National Forest.  Each site has a table and fire ring.  Vault toilets, no water available.  This is a pack in pack out campground.  No fee.  Maximum stay 14 days. Open June 1 through September 15

Directions: From Hamilton travel 2 miles south on Highway 93.  Turn east (left) on Skalkaho Highway 38.  Follow Skalkaho Highway 38 12.9 miles, turn south (right) at Black Bear Campground.
