Glacier Park Area

The Glacier Park Area is the perimeter area surrounding the entrances to Glacier National Park. Camping, whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, and visiting the small quaint towns around the park area attract millions of vacationers each year. Hungry Horse Dam is located 15 miles south of Glacier National Park on the South Fork of the Flathead River. The reservoir is 34 miles long and covers around 24,000 acres. Here camping, boating, hiking, fishing, and scenic drives are enjoyed around this quiet wilderness area.
